What services do you offer?

For information about all of the editorial services I offer, check out this page.

I’m still not sure which one of your services is right for me.
I want a critique you don’t describe.
What do I do?

Email me using the Contact page. I’d love to chat about a custom critique for you.

Is there a contract or agreement between us?

I have an Editorial Agreement we can both sign outlining the terms we agree upon. It’s not necessary, but it’s an option if you would like.

Do you do sample edits?

Yes! I’m happy to critique a few pages free of charge so you can get a sense of whether I’m the right person for your project.

How do I pay?

Through PayPal, unless we make other arrangements.

Do I pay in full upfront?

Generally yes, although alternate payment plans are available for certain services.

What genres do you accept?

I accept both fiction and narrative nonfiction manuscripts, as well as novellas, short stories, and poetry. I specialize in children’s literature, especially MG and YA. I also have extensive experience working with adult and NA romance. I accept almost all genres (except non-narrative nonfiction, which is not my specialty). Through my previous work with literary journals, I am also experienced with short stories and poetry.

Do you only edit novels?

I edit a wide variety of materials: short stories, poems, novellas, queries, cover letters, pitches, back cover copy, narrative nonfiction, and more. My services are primarily designed for writers who plan to publish novels, but I am happy to discuss customized services that will work best for your project.

Please note:

~Your materials should be in a MS word doc (either .docx or .doc).

~You may want to inquire about my calendar before you are ready. I am sometimes booked in advance. Availability depends on my schedule at the time, what kind of service you need, and the length of the project.

~Since writing is subjective, I cannot guarantee that you will sign with an agent or get a book deal after working with me. I do believe that I can offer valuable insight that will lead to improvement.

~Follow-up questions on critiques are always welcome.
